This event has free admission! There will be 5 exciting (free) workshops as well as a seed swap on the stage at the rear. Vendors include Seed sellers, food vendors, and information booths from community groups.

11am – Intro to Seed Starting with Judy Wall – In this workshop you will discuss the many different methods of starting seeds, from very easy to very difficult, do some hands on seed starting, how to carefully handle small seedlings, and if/when to transplant. This will be an interactive session, with folks asking questions as you go through the process of starting the seeds.
11:45am – The Healing Garden: Easy to Grow Herbs for the Home Apothecary with Amber Westfall – As spring approaches and a new garden season begins, join herbalist Amber Westfall to learn about a variety of plants that will not only add beauty and colour to your ornamental gardens, but also have edible and medicinal properties. Whether you are working with a few pots on a balcony or a large yard, you will find something for every size of garden and all types of growing conditions!
12:30pm – Foraging in Lanark County with Plan B Foragers – Plan B is battling loneliness. This foraging group aims to bring passionate experienced foragers together with new beginners to share knowledge and create long lasting relationships within the community. Daelin will be sharing some of the benefits of foraging along with, do and don’ts, how to get started as a forager and different fun things you can do with your foraged goods.

2:00pm – Intro to Beekeeping with Jonny de Matos
